Mr B complained that Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board removed him from a waiting list following cancellation of an appointment which was cancelled by the Health Board.
The Ombudsman found that the Health Board incorrectly removed Mr B from the waiting list. This caused additional frustration and uncertainty for Mr B and the Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to write to Mr B to apologise and confirm that he has been reinstated on the waiting list in the position he would have been had he not been removed.
