Mr X complained that St Clears Town Council failed to respond to the complaint he submitted.
The Ombudsman found that it had failed to provide him with a formal complaint response. The Ombudsman said this caused uncertainty and frustration for Mr X. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to, within 6 weeks, issue the complaint response which will also include an explanation as to why there was a delay in providing the response
