Ms A complained that Cardiff Council failed to repair her leaking guttering since the Summer of 2024.
The Ombudsman found there had been a significant delay with the Council attending to repairs to Ms A’s guttering which caused additional frustration and uncertainty for Ms A. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to write to Ms A, within one week, with its apology and an offer of £100 for the time and trouble. It also agreed to renew the guttering within six weeks
