The Ombudsman received a complaint that a Member (“the Member”) of Llantilio Pertholey Community Council (“the Council”) had breached the Code (“the Code of Conduct”).
The Complainant alleged that he personally witnessed the Member threaten to punch a fellow Councillor over an argument about the use of a local car park during a full meeting of the Council.
We referred our report on our investigation to the Monitoring Officer of Monmouthshire County Council, for consideration by the Council’s Standards Committee.
