Mr Y complained that the South Wales Police and Crime Panel had failed to respond to his complaint submitted in March 2022.
In considering the complaint the Ombudsman was concerned about the delays and that Mr Y had been inconvenienced by the Panel’s failure to provide a response. As an alternative to an investigation, she asked the Panel to apologise to the complainant and provide him with a financial payment of £100 in recognition of the delays. The Panel also agreed to issue Mr Y with a complaint response within 4 weeks.
