Case Against

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority

Subject

Planning and Building Control

Case Reference Number

202308086

Outcome

Early resolution

Mr L complained that Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority had failed to respond to his complaint about an alleged illegal felling of trees which he had initially made to it in August 2023.

The Ombudsman found that there had been a delay in the Authority responding to Mr L’s complaint and it had failed to properly update him. She said that this caused frustration to Mr L. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Authority’s agreement to apologise to Mr L for the delay and failure to update him, to explain the reasons for the delay, to offer him a redress payment of £50 and to provide its complaint response within 10 weeks.
