Mr A complained that Bridgend County Borough Council failed to take timely and appropriate action relating to his concerns about a housing development near his home. He was also unhappy with the Council’s handling of his complaints.
The Ombudsman found that the Council had not formally investigated Mr A’s concerns. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement within10 working days, to acknowledge Mr A’s complaint and agree to provide a response in line with its Concerns and Complaints Policy.
