Ms N complained that Conwy County Borough Council failed to respond to a complaint she raised in December 2023.
The Ombudsman found a significant delay in the Council issuing its response. She said this caused additional frustration, inconvenience and uncertainty for Ms N. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to issue its complaint response, within 2 weeks, to include an apology and offer of £100 for the delay.
