Mrs A complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board failed to respond to the complaint made to it in July 2022.
The Ombudsman found that the Health Board had failed to respond to Mrs A’s complaint. She said this caused frustration to Mrs A. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise and explain the reasons for the delay, offer a £350 redress payment to Mrs A and issue its complaint response within 8 weeks.
