Hywel Dda University Health Board
Ms X complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board had failed to respond to her complaint submitted to it in March 2023.
The Ombudsman decided that whilst the Health Board had provided holding letters, there had been a delay in its response. She said this caused frustration and uncertainty to Ms X. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to issue its response (within 5 weeks) and apologise for the delay.
