Hywel Dda University Health Board
Mr T complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board had failed to provide him with a response to the complaint he submitted in December 2021.
The Ombudsman decided that there had been a significant delay by the Health Board to respond to the complaint and this had caused inconvenience and frustration for Mr T. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise to Mr T and offer him redress of £250 in recognition of the delay. The Health Board also agreed to issue the complaint response within 4 weeks.
