Mr X complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board failed to respond to the additional questions submitted to it in May 2023.
The Ombudsman decided that there had been a delay in the Health Board’s response which she said caused frustration and uncertainty to Mr X. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to issue its further response within 2 weeks, which should also include an apology for the additional time it had taken.
