Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
Mr X complained that Aneurin Bevan University Health Board failed to respond to the complaint he submitted in January 2023. He also complained about poor communication and a lack of regular updates from the Health Board.
The Ombudsman decided that there had been a delay in the Health Board’s response and it had failed to update Mr X. She said this caused frustration and uncertainty to Mr X. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise to Mr X and provide him with a complaint response within 3 weeks.
