Ms X complained that Aneurin Bevan University Health Board did not investigate her complaint.
The Ombudsman decided that whilst the Health Board had provided a response, there were aspects of the complaint that were not addressed. She said that this caused delays and frustration. She decided to settle the complaint without investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement within 10 working days, to apologise to Ms X, clarify her outstanding concerns and agree to provide a complaint response.
