Early resolution

Mr X complained that the Council had not responded to his complaint regarding the time taken to answer his emails in relation to a matter about an application for a footway crossing.

The Ombudsman decided that the Council should provide Mr X with a written response (within 3 weeks) which should include an apology for the delay in its response.

The Ombudsman considered this to be an appropriate resolution to the complaint instead of conducting an investigation.
