Councillor X complained about the delay in the Council considering and resolving a complaint made against him by another Councillor. The complaint had been made in April 2021 and was still ongoing in January 2022.
The Ombudsman noted that there were reasons for the delay in the process which Councillor X was aware of. However, the matter should have been concluded much sooner and the delay had caused frustration to Councillor X. The Council therefore referred the matter to One Voice Wales for resolution within 6 weeks.
