Mr X complained to the Ombudsman that he had submitted a complaint to the Council on 15 June 2022,but he had not received a response within a reasonable time.
The Ombudsman was concerned that Mr X had yet to receive a response. As an alternative to an investigation, the Ombudsman contacted the Council. The Council agreed that it would issue Mr X with an apology and respond to Mr X’s concerns by 31 August2022. The Ombudsman accepted this as a resolution to Mr X’s complaint.
