Clinical treatment outside hospital
A GP Practice in the area of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
Mr X complained about the poor care and treatment he had received from a GP practice in the area of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (“the Practice”). He was unhappy with the medication he had been prescribed and the length of time he had been taking it.
In making enquiries with the Practice, the Ombudsman was concerned that the initial complaint response did not appear to address all the concerns Mr X had raised and did not provide sufficient detail. The Ombudsman decided to settle the matter without investigation.
In settlement of the complaint the Practice agreed to prepare a further complaint response by 10 September 2021.
