Miss A complained about the care and treatment provided to her by a Dental Practice in the area of Cardiff & Vale University Health Board (“the Practice”), and she raised concerns about her discharge. Miss A said the Practice’s response to her complaint was inadequate, vague, and failed to address all of the issues raised.

The Ombudsman decided that the Practice had not provided an adequate response to Miss A’s concerns. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Practice’s agreement that, within one month, it would provide a full written response to Miss A, to address the points raised in her letters.
