Mrs X complained about the care and treatment she received whilst at the Breast Test Unit at the Princess of Wales Hospital. Mrs X also complained about the delay in receiving the Health Board’s futher written response.
The Ombudsman decided that the Health Board should provide Mrs X with a full written response to include an explanation and an apology within 30 working days. It also agreed to issue Mrs X with a payment of £250 for her time and trouble in bringing the complaint to the Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman considered this to be an appropriate resolution to the complaint.
