Mr P complained about the length of time it took Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to respond to further issues he raised after he attended a meeting with it. He said that he did not receive a response from the Health Board by the deadline set and he had to chase progress.

The Ombudsman decided that there was a delay in the further response being sent and Mr P had not been updated or received an apology. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman contacted the Health Board and gained its agreement that within 1 month it would send a written apology to Mr P for the delay in issuing the final response and for not informing him of the delay.
