Powys Teaching Health Board
Mr X complained about the standard of care provided to his son by Powys Teaching Health Board following him sustaining a brain injury. Mr X said that upon receipt of the Health Board’s response to his complaint, he had requested a meeting to further discuss the matters of concern.
The Ombudsman found that the Health Board had arranged a meeting for 16 March 2021, but subsequently cancelled the meeting on 12 March 2021. The Health Board had failed to reschedule the meeting.
The Ombudsman contacted the Health Board and it agreed to, within 20 working days:
· Arrange a properly documented meeting with Mr & Mrs X and their legal representative to fully discuss the complaint in respect of treatment provided to their son.
The Ombudsman was satisfied that this would provide a resolution to the issues considered in this complaint.
