Ms X complained about 3 aspects of the care supplied to her by the Health Board when her baby was born.
The Ombudsman found that the Health Board had not responded to part 1 of Ms X’s complaint; that the delay in the provision of care caused the baby a brain injury and to suffer from seizures.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to respond to part 1 of the complaint within 20 working days. Ms X was advised that she may contact the Ombudsman’s office again following receipt of the response, if she remained dissatisfied.
