Mr C complained about the care and treatment he received from Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Specifically, the investigation considered whether the diagnosis and treatment of Mr C’s thyroid cancer was unduly delayed.
The investigation found that the Health Board’s Ear Nose and Throat department provided appropriate care to Mr C, and that there were no missed opportunities to diagnose or treat his thyroid cancer sooner. The Ombudsman did not uphold this complaint.
