Mr W complained that Cardiff & Vale University Health Board had failed to address all of his concerns regarding the coordination of his care and treatment. He said that the Health Board had agreed to hold a meeting with him to discuss his outstanding concerns but he had not received a date.
The Ombudsman found that there had been a delay by Health Board to arrange a meeting and this had caused inconvenience and frustration for Mr W. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to make arrangements to hold a meeting with Mr W within 4 weeks.
