Mrs X complained that the Health Board failed to conduct an appropriate assessment on her father and caused a breakdown in communication with other organisations. Mrs X also complained that despite putting a complaint in with the Health Board back in 2020, she has not yet received a response.
The Ombudsman was concerned that Mrs X has not yet received a formal response and contacted the Health Board. As an alternative to an investigation, the Health Board have agreed to issue Mrs X with a formal response by 23 March 2022. The Ombudsman accepted this as are solution of Mrs X’s complaint.
