Miss X complained that the Council failed to resolve her concerns that were raised over 8 months ago, and that the Council provided her with incorrect information and guidance prior to her making her complaint.

The Ombudsman was concerned that Miss X’s complaint had not yet been resolved and that she had not had an adequate response to her concerns from the Council. As an alternative to an investigation, the Ombudsman contacted the Council and it agreed to respond to Miss X’s concerns by 1 September 2022. The Ombudsman accepted this as a resolution to Miss X’s complaint.
