Mr X complained about a delay by the Council in concluding a formal (or “stage 2”) investigation into a complaint that he had raised in March 2021.
The Ombudsman contacted the Council to seek its comments on the matter. He was advised that the formal investigation report had been completed and was with a Director for consideration.
It was agreed that the Council would issue its report by 4 November 2021 with an apology for the delay in concluding the investigation.
