Ms X complained that the Council failed to act on her request for a NHS Continuing Care assessment, and also that the Council had yet to respond to her formal complaint made in April 2021.
The Ombudsman was concerned that Ms X had yet to receive a response to her concerns and contacted the Council. As an alternative to an investigation, the Council agreed to provide Ms X with a formal stage 1 response to her complaint by 31 March 2022. The Ombudsman accepted this as a resolution to Ms X’s complaint.
