NEWCIS is one of the largest providers of carer services in Wales – delivering information, one to one support, training and counselling to carers who provide unpaid support to family or friends living in North East Wales. Our service is free and people can self-refer or be referred by an organisation or family member/friend (with consent). Our services are tailored to each individual cirumstance, these include (but are not limited to) counselling, respite, assessments, carer breaks, training courses, social events, support groups, support to get into employment and further education and an information source whereby we provide relevant and timely information and signpost to suitable organisations based on need.

Our service is for unpaid carers. A carer is anyone who cares or intends to care, unpaid, for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.

We cover North East Wales: Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.

We do not offer an advocacy service but can signpost to relevant organisations. Our staff are very experienced and trained to support carers with their individual caring role.
