Mrs A complained that Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board failed to respond to her complaint.

The Ombudsman found that the Health Board had failed to respond to Mrs A’s complaint. The Ombudsman said this caused uncertainty and frustration for Mrs A and decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to, within 6 weeks, offer an apology to Mrs A for the delay and to issue its complaint response.
