Mr X complained that Powys County Council failed to act in relation to the damp and mould.
The Ombudsman found that the Council failed to log Mr X’s complaint. She said this caused uncertainty and frustration for Mr X. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to, within 3 weeks, offer an apology and explanation for the oversight, issue a complaint response and provide a timeline of the planned woks.
