Mr A complained about the care and treatment his late wife, Mrs A, received from Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The investigation considered whether a vascular referral should have been made following Mrs A’s review and investigations by the Rapid Diagnostic Clinic on 6 December 2022.
The investigation found that even if a vascular referral had been made, no specific action would have been undertaken by a vascular specialist as Mrs A’s presentation did not merit any further treatment other than what she was already receiving.
The complaint was not upheld.
