Ms A complained about water ingress to her property, which is rented from Carmarthenshire County Council (“the Council”). She said that despite complaining to the Council the issue had not been resolved and the Council had not fully addressed her complaint.
The Ombudsman decided that whilst the Council had issued a Stage 2 complaint response, this had not fully addressed the issues Ms A had raised or addressed the outcomes she was seeking. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement that within 2 weeks it would send Ms A a further response which should address the outstanding issues.
