Ms M complained that Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board failed to respond to a complaint she raised on 6 June 2024.

The Ombudsman found that there had been a significant delay by the Health Board in concluding the complaint. This caused additional frustration and inconvenience for Ms M. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to issue its complaint response within 4 weeks. It should include an apology and explanation for the delay and an offer of £100 for the inconvenience caused.
