Miss Q complained that Aneurin Bevan University Health Board had failed to respond to the complaint she submitted in June 2024.

The Ombudsman decided that there had been a significant delay by the Health Board to provide Miss Q with a response. She said this had caused frustration and uncertainty for Miss Q. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to provide Miss Q with a written apology, £150 redress in recognition of the delays and to issue a complaint response within 3 weeks.
