The Ombudsman investigates complaints from members of the public about unfair treatment or where they have received a poor service through some failure on the part of devolved public bodies in Wales. The Ombudsman also investigates complaints that a member of a local authority in Wales may have breached their council’s statutory code of conduct for members.
The Ombudsman is seeking to appoint a Review and Service Quality Officer (£45,591 – £49,086)
The successful candidate will ensure that challenges to the Ombudsman’s casework decisions are properly and objectively reviewed.
It is essential that they have a good understanding of the Ombudsman’s casework function and act impartially and fairly when independently reviewing casework decisions.
The successful candidate will further develop and manage our quality review process to ensure that the Ombudsman is consistently delivering a high quality service.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for this high profile role.
